Video & audio compression
Game clips eat drives alive. A few evenings of NVIDIA ShadowPlay, AMD ReLive, OBS or Xbox Game Bar recordings and your SSD is suddenly full. Crunchy wants to fix that, the same way it fixes PDFs and photos: drop the folder in and get your space back.
- Lossless for videoRepack clips without touching a single frame: clean up the container, drop junk streams and store audio losslessly, so nothing you recorded changes.
- Best quality, much smallerRe-encode with modern codecs (like HEVC and AV1) at visually lossless settings. Recordings from capture software are huge because they're encoded fast, not small.
- Maximum squeezeA lossy mode for when space matters more than perfection, with a target size so a clip fits Discord, email or a group chat.
- Audio too, lossless or lossyShrink WAV and other big audio losslessly (FLAC), or go lossy (Opus/AAC) for voice notes, podcasts and music you just want to keep around.

When the developer feels like it™
Realistically: shortly after the developer's own clips folder fills up the D: drive. Again.
